The Wisconsin "Supreme Court used the United States Supreme
Court case of United Stated v. Curtis, 511 U.S. 485 (1994) as its model
in Hahn. United States v. Curtis essentially held that a defendant may
not collaterally attack prior convictions in a current federal prosecution
in a current federal prosecution unless the prior conviction involved
a violation of the right to counsel."
