As the president of the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (WACDL), Wisconsin's first ever attorney appointed to the board of regents for the National College for DUI Defense (as well as the first female lawyer to serve on that board), the author of Challenging Prior Under Influence Convictions, and contributing author to DUI Defense, Attorney Wood is widely regarded as an authority on drunk driving laws and defenses. She is currently co-authoring a Wisconsin treatise on drunk driving laws entitled, "Wisconsin DUI Defense - The Law and Practice".

Attorney Wood is also well known for her defense of people charged with serious felony crimes by both Wisconsin state and Federal prosecutors. She successfully litigated United States v. Andrez Perez, 50 F. 3d 396 7th cir. (1995). Tracey's most famous trial win to date was in the federal Fort McCoy military vehicle theft case which received national media coverage and even received a nod from Jay Leno on the Tonight Show.

Attorney Tracey Wood is a repeated recipient of the distinguishing Wisconsin Super Lawyers award, and this year named to the Top 25 Women in Law by Super Lawyers. She has repeatedly been named one of a handful of Madison's Best Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Attorney Tracey A. Wood is admitted to the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Wisconsin, U.S. District Court Western District of Wisconsin, and the U.S. Court of Appeals 7th Circuit. Attorney Wood is a member of the American Bar Association, and an attorney in good standing with the Wisconsin State Bar.
